Negra is a tiny village on the Canal du Midi, close to the town of Villefranche de Lauragais.

There are one or two restaurants and the nearest railway stations are Villefranche-Lauraguais regional station (8 km) and TGV Toulouse-Matabiau station (41 km). Nearest airports are Carcassonne, Toulouse and Perpignan.
